About the Creator

Hi, I’m Justin Hanson - a retired United States Secret Service Senior Special Agent who investigated cryptocurrency fraud and financial crimes for over 25 years. I’m the owner of Hanson Security Group, LLC, and developer of the Financial Training Academy.  During my final years with the Secret Service, I supervised the Financial Crimes Task Force, overseeing investigations into complex financial crimes including cryptocurrency fraud and digital asset scams. I am also an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Haven, where I teach graduate-level courses on financial crimes and cryptocurrency investigations. After seeing firsthand how criminals exploit new investors and steal millions of dollars in digital assets, I created this course to help people understand cryptocurrency, recognize scams, and protect their digital assets before it’s too late. My goal is simple: give you the knowledge and tools to navigate the crypto world safely and confidently.
